Everybody’s favorite basic bras are back in stock!  We have more of the best selling styles, as well as some new ones.  The Sheer Mesh strapless bra looks exactly like the Eres version we carried last year, but this mesh is softer and it’s half the price!  The Helium Sheer Tactel is new to Lille for the summer - lightweight and soft as butter, the deceptively strong fiber (55% Poly, 35% Elastane) fits like a second skin and dries in minutes.  In addition to the underwire bra, we also received a lightly padded balconette bra with removable straps and a lovely matching garter belt.  These will literally sell out within the week, particularly in the larger cup sizes, so please email or call if you need me to hold your size.  Today would be a great time to stop by because our big sale just started and we’re open until 9pm for our Friday Friday Art Exhibit.  See you soon!

The lovely Anne Marie nightie and basic Michelle tank from Keep Me just arrived.  Both styles are made from the same super-soft modal they use for the popular Drea/Trish sets.  I can’t think of a better garment for lounging in the backyard in my new rope hammock!

It’s that time again, ladies.  Our Summer Sale starts Friday, July 3rd, with discounts of 30-50% off Spring merchandise from VPL, Araks, Elle MacPherson Boudoir, Stella McCartney, Wundervoll and The Lake and Stars.  We will be closed on Saturday, July 4th for the holiday, but will reopen on Sunday, with the sale going strong all month long!  This First Friday art exhibit showcases embroidered work by local designer Emily Katz.  Most of you know Emily from her eponymous sustainable clothing line, which has been featured in countless local fashion shows and is sold at stylish boutiques nationwide.  If you haven’t yet seen her artwork, you are in for a treat.  Her sweet freehand embroidery features woodland creatures embracing and other tender moments that are sure to give you a warm and fuzzy feeling.  Stop by between 7-9pm to check out the work and get a jump on the sale.

When I first moved to Portland, the Willamette Week Finder was indispensible in my acclimation to this fair city.  The 2009 edition just came out, and we have a big ‘ol box of them here for the taking.  If you’re new to Stumptown, or just want to stay abreast of the latest shops, restaurants and bars to open, be sure to pick one up.  I would also like to encourage you to fill out their Best of Portland survey if you haven’t already done so.  You can vote for your favorite boutique under “Best Store of Any Kind.”  Even if it’s not Lille, I hope it’s someone equally innovative, stylish, and above all, independently owned and operated.  We are fortunate because the options are abundant!

We’re such huge fans of the Eve Giggling series by Stella McCartney that we just had to try the Contoured version since it’s the only one that comes in black (I keep badgering them to make the Underwire Bra in black, thus far to no avail…)  I love the extra-wide silky ribbon straps, and the topstitching on the contour has a lovely vintage vibe.  Though I’m not a big fan of molded bras, this one is very lightly padded, and I understand that some girls like a little extra oomph for those structured dresses that need to be filled out (or when you want to channel Joanie on Mad Men.)  The matching panty is slightly skimpier than the basic bikini, and has an added modesty panel that echoes the topstitching on the bra.

I’m about to place a Bodas reorder for basic cotton underwire bras, sheer mesh slips, garter belts and some very promising strapless bras.  (I am particularly excited about the new Sheer Tactel Balconette Bra with removable straps and lightly padded cups.)  As always, I am happy to do special orders on any style that is still available, and I’m ordering limited quantities of the new styles, so if you’re in need of some affordable everyday basics, please check out the Bodas website and let me know what you’d like! This cute cotton tunic just arrived from New York designer Only Hearts.  I love the loose, swingy cut and the fun plaid print.  The bralette and bikini are even cuter, but this one is just perfect for a humid day like today for lounging around the house or bbqing in the backyard.

Fans of the Floral Balconette bra by Hoff by Hoff will be thrilled to hear that we received more of that style in new colors - asphalt grey and black.  The Asphalt is a great basic everyday bra (I’m wearing mine now!) and the Black has tiny flocked velvet polka dots.  Both have a matching boyshort, and there is even a suspender belt - for those of you who’ve been waiting on a black garter to hold up those vintage silk stockings, this could be the perfect set for you!  More pix after the jump… (more…)

Join us this Friday from 6-9pm for “Modern Bride,” an exhibition of work from award winning local wedding photographers Aisha Harley, Rebekah Johnson, Bryan Wolf and Jamie Bosworth. Harley and Bosworth have both had the distinct honor of being voted best wedding photographer by Oregon Bride Magazine in the past three years.  Rebekah Johnson is a graduate of PNCA whose work has been featured extensively in Portland Bride and Groom. Bryan Wolf is a custom printer, teacher, member of the Portland Grid Project, and a board member of Photolucida, a national non-profit photography organization. There will also be a trunk show of hand-crocheted bridal jewelry by Puiyi Tiffany Pang of Muntedkowhai, flowers by Francoise Weeks, and free samples of gourmet chocolate by Xocolatl de David.  Hope to see you then!
