multiples

The other day I did all of my laundry, and I mean all of it. It had been a long time since my last trip to the laundrette. Since my closet was nearly depleted I took it upon myself to completely clean out my underwear drawer. Re-fold, re-organize, the kind of thing that I never do.

As my entire panty collection lay clean and folded in front of me I noticed a few things.

1. I have a lot of underwear. I must have well over 50 pairs. That’s a lot right? Actually, its not enough in my book!

2. I don’t own a single pair of green underwear. Lots of black and white and beige/pink, some purple, a tiny amount of blue, some brown, there’s an orange pair in there, a bunch of red, a few yellow, absolutely no green.

3. I buy multiples. I never really noticed how often I did this. There were quite a few styles that I have 2 or more exact replicas of, and even more styles where I’d buy the same pair in an array of colors (but no green). I’m like the Charlie Brown of underwear. But really, why not stock up when you know that something works for you, right? That must be why Eberjey Pima Goddess customers often come back for more. I know I have several pairs of the Low Rider Bikini and I’m pretty excited for their new colors to come out this summer cause you bet your bottom I’m going to snag at least one pair in charcoal grey. It’s a great simple panty, and it gets softer every time you wash it. Stocking up just makes sense. But I have multiples of fancy panties too. Sometimes when a boy short is cut just perfect, or a lacy bikini has an irresistible keyhole, I’ll most definitely grab a few. It’s the same reason that I freak out every time Araks puts out the Karin or the Jasmine in a new color. Maybe I buy all of these multiples because I hate doing laundry… or maybe it’s because I’m a smart shopper. Chew on that.
